How to Get Gems in "Tiles Survive" (The Ultimate, No-BS Guide!) 💎
Hey everybody! Grab a snack, get comfy, and let’s talk about the absolute obsession that has taken over my life for the past three weeks: Tiles Survive.
https://huedbeans.com/tiles-survive.html
If you’re reading this, you’re probably in the exact same boat I was in last Tuesday. Picture this: It’s 2 AM. My eyes are burning, I’m on Wave 49 of the Volcano biome, and my health bar is basically a microscopic sliver of red pixel. I make one wrong move, step on a lava tile, and BAM. Game over. The revive screen pops up mocking me: Continue for 50 Gems?
I looked at my gem counter. I had 48.
I literally stared at my ceiling in total silence for ten minutes.
It was in that moment of profound, soul-crushing defeat that I decided I was going to crack the code. I was going to figure out every single legitimate way to hoard Gems in this game so I’d never suffer that fate again.
So, my fellow tile-hoppers, welcome to my complete, 100% field-tested guide on how to get Gems in Tiles Survive without emptying your real-life wallet. Let’s dive in!
Tiles Survive Free Gems Tips

1. The "Eat Your Vegetables" Method (Daily & Weekly Quests) 🥦
Look, I know this sounds obvious, but you would be shocked at how many people in my guild ignore these. The devs are literally handing you free shiny rocks for doing things you’re probably going to do anyway!
Dailies: Always do your three daily tasks. Usually, it’s stuff like "Break 100 Wood Tiles" or "Survive 5 Nights." Completing all three nets you a neat 15 Gems.
Weeklies: This is the big brain play. The weekly chest gives a whopping 100 Gems.
My personal quirk: I literally set a phone alarm at 7:50 PM just to make sure I’ve cleared my dailies before the server resets at 8. Am I crazy? Maybe. Am I rich in Gems? Absolutely.
2. Achievement Hunting (A.K.A. Doing Weird Stuff on Purpose) 🏆
If you tap the little trophy icon in the top right corner of the main menu, you’ll see the Achievement log. Most people just collect these passively, but if you actually read them, there are tons of easy Gems hiding in plain sight.
Some of my favorite "easy" ones I hunted down:
Tiles Survive Free Gems

"Is It Hot In Here?" – Stand next to a fire tile until you take exactly 99 damage, then heal. (Gives 20 Gems!).
"Pacifist" – Survive the first 10 waves without breaking a single enemy tile. (Takes a bit of dodging, but totally doable. 30 Gems!)
Pro tip: Spend an afternoon just doing suicide runs in unranked mode to knock out the weird, ultra-specific achievements. It’s actually hilarious trying to get killed by a slime tile 50 times in a row.
3. The Sweatfest: Endless Mode Milestones 💦
Alright, crack your knuckles, because this is where skill actually pays off. Endless Mode isn't just for leaderboard bragging rights (though I am very proud of my #412 global ranking, thank you very much).
Every time you hit a new benchmark ending in a zero (Wave 10, 20, 30, etc.), you get a one-time Gem payout. The higher you go, the crazier the payout. Breaking Wave 50 for the first time gives you 250 Gems.
Quick advice: Don’t hoard your power-ups if you're pushing for a milestone! I used to save my Freeze Potions for "an emergency." You know when the emergency is? WAVE 49 WHEN FOUR EXPLODER TILES SURROUND YOU. Just use the potion, grab the milestone Gems, and thank me later.
4. Stalking the Devs (In a totally nice, legal way) 🕵️♂️
The studio behind Tiles Survive is actually super cool, and they practically throw Gems at players who pay attention to their socials.
Discord: Join the official Discord server! The community manager (shoutout to PixelPanda, you're a real one 🐼) randomly drops gift codes in the #announcements channel on Friday afternoons.
Twitter/X: Whenever there's a game update or maintenance, they almost always tweet a code for 50-100 "Apology Gems."
Survey Season: Every month or so, a little mail icon appears in your in-game inbox asking you to fill out a player feedback survey. DO IT. It takes two minutes and usually pays out 100 Gems. I usually just use that space to beg them to nerf the Poison Dart tiles, but hey, getting paid to complain is a sweet gig.
And there you have it! If you combine the dailies, hunt a few achievements, push your endless runs, and snatch up those dev promo codes, you’ll be swimming in Gems in no time. I finally saved up enough to buy the Galaxy Tile skin last night, and let me tell you, it looks so crisp in-game.
What are you guys saving your Gems for right now? Are you hoarding them for revives, or are you trying to buy the cosmetics? Let me know in the comments below!
Until next time, keep your reflexes sharp and stay off the lava tiles! Peace! ✌️🎮
